General Terms and Conditions of Sale
ORIGIN S.r.l. SB - Version updated on 7 October 2026
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter, the “Terms”) govern the distance sale of the products marketed through the e-commerce website of ORIGIN S.r.l. SB (hereinafter, “ORIGIN”, the “Seller” or the “Company”). These Terms have been drafted in accordance with the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005, as amended), as supplemented by Legislative Decree 209/2025 on distance contracts for financial services and by Legislative Decree 30/2026 on information regarding the durability, repairability and legal guarantee of conformity of goods. The Terms have been drafted taking into account the Italian and European rules applicable to contracts concluded with consumers.
Before placing an order, the Customer is invited to read the Terms carefully and to keep a copy on a durable medium, and to review the total price, including applicable taxes, any applicable shipping costs, the available payment methods, the delivery methods and times, the existence of the right of withdrawal and its conditions, and the terms and procedures for exercising the legal guarantee of conformity. The pre-contractual information provided on the website, the product pages and any policies referred to in these Terms form an integral part of the contractual relationship within the limits set by law.
1. Seller details and scope of application
1.1 Seller identity
The products on the website are sold directly by:
ORIGIN S.r.l. SB
Registered office: Via Giuseppe Meda 30/A - 20141 Milan (MI) - Italy
VAT number and Tax Code: 13890720967
Email: customer.service@origin-of-line.com
Phone: +39 349 248 5463
1.2 Scope of application
These Terms apply to purchases made by natural persons of legal age who act for purposes unrelated to their entrepreneurial, commercial, craft or professional activity (“Consumers”). Purchases made by professionals or for professional purposes are not governed by these Terms and require a specific agreement with ORIGIN.
ORIGIN may refuse or cancel orders that are incompatible with the scope of the website, with the sales methods adopted by the Company or with applicable law.
2. Product information
ORIGIN undertakes to describe the products accurately. Photographs, colours, textures, finishes and details may show slight differences from the physical product, also due to the settings of the device used by the Customer, lighting and normal production tolerances.
The essential characteristics, composition, sizes, measurements and care instructions, where applicable, are shown on the relevant product page. Any non-essential aesthetic indications do not constitute a guarantee of absolute identity with the published images.
Where made available by the manufacturer and applicable to the type of Product, the product pages also indicate:
- the expected durability of the item;
- the repairability index, if any, or, failing that, information on the availability, estimated cost and ordering methods of spare parts;
- the availability of repair and maintenance instructions, if any, and any restrictions on repair;
- for goods with digital elements and for digital content or services, the minimum period for which the manufacturer or supplier undertakes to provide software updates, including any security updates.
This information is provided in accordance with Article 48 of the Consumer Code, as amended by Legislative Decree 30/2026.
3. Prices, taxes and customs charges
Prices are expressed in euros and, for orders to which Italian VAT applies, include the applicable VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise. Any additional costs, including:
- shipping;
- duties;
- gift wrapping;
- extra services;
are highlighted before the order is submitted.
ORIGIN may change prices at any time. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time the order is submitted, without prejudice to obvious pricing errors. In the event of an obvious error, ORIGIN may inform the Customer and allow them to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel the order with a refund of any amounts already paid.
For non-EU destinations, any duties, import taxes, customs charges and other costs required by the authorities of the destination country are, unless expressly indicated otherwise at checkout, borne by the Customer and are normally collected by the courier. ORIGIN cannot determine their amount in advance or guarantee the timing of customs procedures.
Where available, any lower-environmental-impact delivery options are indicated and described on the checkout page, with their timing and costs clearly highlighted in a clear and understandable manner, in accordance with consumer protection legislation.
4. Order procedure and conclusion of the contract
The publication of products on the website constitutes an invitation to the Customer to make a purchase offer. Before submitting the order, the Customer must check the products, quantities, size/variant, address, total price and payment method.
To place an order, the customer must:
- select the desired products;
- choose any variants (size, colour, configuration);
- add the products to the cart;
- fill in the order form with the required data;
- select the payment method;
- accept these Terms;
- confirm the order.
Submitting the order using the button that entails an obligation to pay constitutes the Customer’s contractual offer and entails the obligation to pay the indicated price. The automatic receipt of the order by ORIGIN does not, in itself, constitute acceptance of the offer.
The contract is concluded when ORIGIN sends the shipping confirmation or, if earlier, when it communicates acceptance of the order or begins processing it. Until that moment ORIGIN may refuse the order in the cases provided for by these Terms or by law.
The order confirmation is sent by email and contains, among other things, the essential elements of the purchase, the price, any applicable costs, the delivery address and the order reference.
These Terms and order-related communications are provided in Italian. Where versions in other languages are made available on the website, the Italian version prevails in the event of discrepancies, without prejudice to the Consumer’s mandatory rights in their country of residence.
5. Availability and cancellation of the order
Orders are subject to product availability. If a product becomes unavailable after the order has been submitted, ORIGIN informs the Customer and, if an alternative solution cannot be agreed, fully refunds any amount already paid for the unavailable product.
ORIGIN may suspend, refuse or cancel an order, even after receiving the request, when this is necessary or reasonable in the presence of: product unavailability; incorrect or incomplete data; failure to authorise the payment; technical anomalies; suspected fraud or unlawful use of payment systems; manifestly anomalous orders; obvious errors in the description or price; breaches of these Terms.
In the event of cancellation by ORIGIN for reasons not attributable to the Customer, any amounts already charged will be refunded without undue delay.
6. Payments and anti-fraud checks
Payment may be made using the methods available at checkout, including, depending on the availability of the service, cards, PayPal, bank transfer, digital wallets and instalment payment services.
Certain payment methods, including any instalment payment or financing services, are provided by third parties that are independent of ORIGIN, such as payment institutions, electronic money institutions or other authorised financial intermediaries. Before signing up to such services, the Customer is required to read carefully the relevant terms and conditions, as well as the pre-contractual information provided by the respective providers, pursuant to Articles 59 bis - 59 terdecies of the Consumer Code and the applicable sector regulations.
ORIGIN is not a party to such financial services contracts, nor does it provide advice or recommendations on the choice of such contracts, remaining extraneous to the contractual relationship established between the customer and the financial service provider, without prejudice to the obligations that ORIGIN assumes directly towards the Customer for the sale of the Products.
Payments are handled through specialised providers. ORIGIN does not directly store full payment card details, except as technically necessary and permitted by law.
For security reasons, ORIGIN may carry out anti-fraud checks and request additional information. If such checks cannot be completed or reveal risk factors, ORIGIN may suspend or cancel the order and refund the amounts already collected, without prejudice to any legal obligations.
7. Shipping, delivery and tracking
Shipping is free for orders in Italy and in the EU of 120 euros or more, unless otherwise indicated. The specific methods and any territorial limitations are displayed at checkout.
Orders are normally processed within 1-3 working days, Monday to Friday. For Italy and the European Union, delivery is normally expected within 2-5 working days; for islands, remote or poorly served areas, 3-5 working days may be required. For non-EU destinations, times may vary indicatively from 3 to 7 days, in addition to any customs times. These indications do not derogate from the mandatory deadlines set by law.
During peak periods, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, holidays, promotions or exceptional events, operating times may be subject to delays. ORIGIN informs the Customer when it is aware of significant delays.
When the parcel is taken in charge by the courier, ORIGIN sends the Customer the available tracking number to monitor the shipment.
The Customer is responsible for the correctness and completeness of the delivery address and must indicate, where necessary, the name of the company, office or business and its opening hours. ORIGIN is not liable for delays or costs directly resulting from incorrect, incomplete or outdated delivery data attributable to the Customer, without prejudice to what is mandatorily provided by law.
The risk of loss of or damage to the products passes to the Consumer when the Consumer, or a third party designated by the Consumer other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the products, except in the cases provided for by law.
8. Failed delivery, absence of the recipient and storage
The Customer is required to cooperate in the delivery and to promptly provide any necessary information.
Where failed delivery, refusal of the shipment or storage is attributable to the Customer, ORIGIN may request or withhold, within the limits permitted by law and after adequate notice, the costs actually incurred for storage, redelivery, return of the goods or additional logistics services.
This provision does not limit the right of withdrawal or the other mandatory rights granted to the Consumer. For non-EU destinations, any customs charges incurred and return costs may be charged to the Customer in the cases permitted by applicable law and, in particular, when the failed delivery is due to the Customer’s refusal or failure to fulfil customs obligations.
9. Right of withdrawal
Subject to the exceptions provided by law, the Consumer has 14 calendar days to withdraw from a distance contract without having to give any reason. For sales contracts, the period runs from the day on which the Consumer, or a third party designated by the Consumer other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods. For orders placed through the website, the Customer may also exercise the right of withdrawal through the dedicated online withdrawal function, accessible from the personal area, if registered, or from the “Orders and Returns” section of the website. Practical instructions for using this function are made available in a clear and understandable manner before the order is concluded, in accordance with Article 54 bis of the Consumer Code.
In the case of several products purchased with a single order and delivered separately, from the day on which the Customer acquires physical possession of the last product.
In the case of delivery of a product consisting of multiple lots or pieces, from the day on which the Customer acquires physical possession of the last lot or piece.
The right of withdrawal may be exercised by means of an explicit statement sent to ORIGIN, for example by email to customer.service@origin-of-line.com, or by using the standard withdrawal form available on the website, which complies with the model annexed to the Consumer Code. The Customer may use any wording, provided it makes the intention to withdraw unequivocal.
The withdrawal notice must contain at least: order number, indication of the products for which the right of withdrawal is being exercised, the Customer’s first name, surname and address, and contact details for any communications. To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient that the notice is sent before the 14-day period expires. The Customer will receive confirmation of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium, where required by law.
The Customer must return the products without undue delay and, in any case, within 14 days of communicating the withdrawal, unless ORIGIN has offered to collect them directly.
The direct costs of returning the goods are borne by the Customer, unless otherwise indicated by ORIGIN, promotions providing for free returns, or cases in which the law provides otherwise.
The Customer is liable for any diminished value of the products resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. ORIGIN may therefore reduce the refund by the amount of the diminished value actually found, within the limits permitted by law.
The right of withdrawal does not apply in the cases excluded by law, including, where relevant to the products sold, goods made to measure or clearly personalised, sealed goods that cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons and that have been opened after delivery, and the other cases provided for by applicable law.
10. Return and refund procedure
To facilitate the handling of the return, the Customer is invited to contact Customer Service before shipping, indicating the order number and the products concerned. Any return authorisation procedure is for organisational purposes and does not limit the right of withdrawal validly exercised.
Products must be returned, where possible, in their original packaging or in suitable packaging to protect them during transport, complete with the accessories, labels and documentation received. The absence or damage of these items does not automatically result in loss of the right of withdrawal, but may affect the value of the refund if it has caused a diminished value of the item.
In the event of withdrawal, ORIGIN refunds the payments received, including the costs of standard delivery incurred by the Customer, if any, within 14 days of the communication of the withdrawal. However, ORIGIN may suspend the refund until it has received the products or until the Customer proves that they have been sent back, whichever is earlier.
The refund is made, unless otherwise agreed, using the same means of payment used for the original transaction. Additional costs arising from the Customer’s choice of a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard method offered will not be refunded.
Any size changes or replacements requested by the Customer outside the right of withdrawal are additional commercial services and are subject to the procedure and conditions set out in ORIGIN’s specific returns policy. In this regard, please refer to the “Shipping” and “Returns and Refunds” policies available on the website.
The Seller reserves the right to refuse returned products that are:
- used beyond what is necessary for simple trying on;
- damaged;
- missing labels or accessories;
- incomplete;
- not compliant with the return conditions set out in these Terms or in the “Shipping” and “Returns and Refunds” policies.
In such cases, the Customer may be contacted to arrange a new shipment of the products at their own expense, without entitlement to any refund.
11. Legal guarantee of conformity - Reminder of Consumer rights
All goods sold to Consumers are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code and by the legislation applicable in the Consumer’s country. ORIGIN is liable for lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery and becoming apparent within the legal time limits.
For goods, the legal guarantee of conformity has a minimum duration of two years from delivery of the Product. The Consumer’s direct action to enforce defects that were not fraudulently concealed is subject, under Italian law, to a limitation period of 26 months from delivery, without prejudice to the further protections provided by law.
In the event of a lack of conformity, the Consumer is entitled, free of charge, to have the goods brought into conformity by repair or replacement, according to the hierarchy provided for by the Consumer Code, or, in the cases provided for, to an appropriate price reduction or to termination of the contract. The costs necessary to bring the goods into conformity (in particular, shipping, labour and materials costs) are borne by the Seller within the limits of the law.
The remedies available to the Customer follow a hierarchy: primarily repair or replacement; secondarily price reduction or termination of the contract, when:
- repair or replacement is impossible or excessively burdensome;
- ORIGIN has not carried out the repair or replacement within a reasonable time;
- a previous repair or replacement has caused significant inconvenience to the Customer.
Where the manufacturer offers a free commercial durability guarantee of more than two years and makes the relevant information available to ORIGIN, this information will be made visible to the Customer by means of the harmonised label, together with a reminder of the existence of the legal guarantee of conformity.
The Customer is invited to promptly report any problems to Customer Service, attaching, where possible, the order number, a description of the defect and photographs. The request for information or documentation is for investigative purposes and cannot restrict the Consumer’s mandatory rights.
12. Complaints and customer service
For requests relating to orders, deliveries, returns, refunds or the guarantee, the Customer may contact ORIGIN at customer.service@origin-of-line.com. The Customer is invited to state the order number and a contact for the reply.
ORIGIN will handle requests within a reasonable time, taking into account the nature of the report and any checks that may be necessary.
The Consumer Customer also has the right to use any out-of-court dispute resolution tools that may be available, without prejudice to the other means of redress provided for by applicable law.
13. Intellectual property and use of the website
Trademarks, names, logos, photographs, images, videos, texts, graphics, layouts, catalogues, content and any other element of the website are owned by ORIGIN or by their respective owners and are protected by intellectual property law.
It is forbidden to use, copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or exploit the content of the website for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation, except as permitted by law.
The Customer undertakes to use the website lawfully and not to engage in activities that may compromise the security, availability or operation of the website, nor to attempt unauthorised access or fraudulent activities.
14. Third-party links and services
The website may contain links, tools or services managed by third parties, including payment providers, couriers, technology platforms and social networks. ORIGIN does not control the content or the terms of third-party services and is not responsible for malfunctions or content outside its sphere of control, without prejudice to what is provided by law and the obligations that ORIGIN assumes directly towards the Customer. In particular, payment services and any instalment payment or financing services are provided by independent third parties, which remain solely responsible for fulfilling the information and conduct obligations set by applicable law, including the rules on distance contracts for financial services under Articles 59 bis - 59 terdecies of the Consumer Code.
15. Privacy and cookies
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable personal data protection legislation, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national law. Detailed information is contained in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy published on the website, which must be made available to the Customer before or at the time of data collection, as required by law.
16. Limitations of liability
ORIGIN will not be liable, within the limits permitted by law, for delays, suspensions or service disruptions caused by events beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disasters, wars, acts of authorities, non-company strikes, widespread network or service outages, third-party cyber attacks, unavailability of carriers or other force majeure events.
Without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection legislation, ORIGIN is not liable for indirect or consequential damages that are not reasonably foreseeable and not directly attributable to its conduct, such as, by way of example:
- loss of profits;
- loss of data;
- business interruption
within the limits permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, nor the Consumer’s mandatory rights.
17. Minors and legal capacity
Purchases through the website are permitted exclusively to persons of legal age and with legal capacity. If ORIGIN becomes aware of an order placed in breach of this requirement, it may cancel it within the limits permitted by law and refund any amount already paid.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law, unless the mandatory legislation of the Consumer’s country of residence grants the Consumer more favourable protection or provides otherwise.
For disputes with a Consumer resident in Italy, the court of the place of residence or elected domicile of the Consumer has jurisdiction, where provided for by law. For Consumers resident in other countries, the mandatory rules on jurisdiction applicable to the relationship remain unaffected.
Nothing in these Terms prejudices the Consumer’s right to use the protection and dispute resolution tools made available by applicable law.
19. Changes to the Terms
ORIGIN may modify or update these Terms for organisational, regulatory, technological or commercial reasons. Changes apply to orders concluded after their publication, unless the law provides otherwise. The version applicable to the order is the one accepted by the Customer at the time of purchase.
20. Validity of the clauses
If one or more provisions of these Terms are found to be invalid, ineffective or unenforceable, this will not invalidate the remaining provisions, which will continue to have effect to the extent permitted by law. The invalid provision will be replaced or interpreted, where possible, so as to come as close as possible to the economic purpose pursued, in compliance with the Consumer’s mandatory rights.
