Paolo

Paolo is 67 years old, he is from Livorno, and after 40 years of hard work he is enjoying his retirement.

When he can, together with a friend, he takes his trusty camper and comes to the Island of Giglio with a one-way ticket. They choose a cliff, park nearby, and live almost entirely off fishing and a few small things bought down at the harbor.

Paolo is a sea bream fisherman and comes to Giglio on purpose: here you find some of the largest specimens in the Mediterranean Sea. He fishes for them Bolognese-style, with a float and maggots. He spends the day fishing, and before dark he heads back to his camper and enjoys spectacular dinners with breathtaking sunsets.
